Across the street

, on the green, a sound system is pumping out chill out music with a chorus of Indian female singers and interweaving jazz-rock guitar. It’s part of the Mela Festival. Tent stalls are being erected and kids are excitedly running about the place in anticipation of what promises to be a sunny hot day of celebrations. It is 9:03am. There is a strong presence of Asians and a buzz of excitement. It is catching, and I would love to participate. But to work I’ll have to go and perhaps when I return, I might still be able to catch some of it!

I haven’t gigged

for sometime now. The gig at the Lavender Hill Festival last week was cancelled due to the World Cup! And so was the open mic I intended to attend the following night for exactly the same reason! Oh well, football rules here in England!

I must say that I was pretty disappointed with England’s performance in the World Cup and IMHO, think they are just getting so much money that they aren’t hungry.

The last week has seen days of sun and pleasant temperatures. I’ve been donning my shorts and was very much in my element. How I miss Malaysia.

I will be taking a trip back home to see my mum and to chill. The last time I was there, I felt so connected and so at home. Guess I’m just connecting more and feeling more at home these days! LOL!

Anyway, it’s back to work on Besureis‘ new song “Turning”.

It’s official

, “Seven Collar T-Shirt” are fantastic! I’ve been listening to them for the last 2 nights and I love their stuff. It is beautiful music that inspires me and touches my soul.

Well done guys! You rock!

Today, I lunched in Walpole Park after having mixed “Selling Dreams” for Besureis. You can hear a clip of it on their website www.besureis.com

After a lying in the sun for some minutes, I took a walk around the park and found myself at the Pitzhanger Manor where Raymond Depardon was exhibiting his photos. Beautiful and inspiring!

My flatmate staying in the room next door has moved out today! Back to his parents’ place in Middlesborough as he could not find a job here in London!!!
