and I intend to be in bed before midnight so have just a few minutes to blog.

I just got back from Belushi’s in Fulham. I haven’t been doing the open mic there for some time now and certainly tonight was not an exception. I just popped in to say hello and see if any of the performers there would be interested in performing on Thursday at this night that I’m promoting at The Market Bar in Portobello Road. No takers as all were unable. So I shall see if any can tomorrow at The Castle, where I will be playing a set.

I intend The Market Bar have only 3 – 4 artistes perform on the night, thereby giving each a longer set.

So if you’re not doing anything this Thursday, pop down to 240 Portobello Road, London W11 1LU. I will be one of the acts performing. Starts 8:30PM. Cheers!

Good night:)

at Nolia’s Gallery(formerly The Thomas a Beckett, a famous boxing venue, a punch bag hangs by the bar which has been punched by Henry Cooper and one Muhammad Ali!) was fantastic. The guitar distorted through the amp when pushed, my vocals distorted through the PA, I was loud, and I loved it! It seemed to go down well although I suspect some of the audience did not appreciate the sonic assault.

Also playing tonight were Lisa Lore, a “neo-blues tripfunk wordsmith”, another act called, if I’m not mistaken, Liza(I apologize if I got that wrong), and concluded with a set by Belle, a soulful singer with a sultry voice.

Food was £3 a plate of Malaysian mince curry, veg curry and rice, spicy and tasty, cooked by Nolia(A lovely bubbly petite Malaysian who’s dedicated to promoting up and coming artistes – “I’m doing this for all the youngsters, not for myself, I’m 61, I’ve been there, done that!” she announced.) herself.

Carly Morris adorned the walls with her paintings of Boxing, muted colors, a contrast to the poses struck by the boxers engaged in combat, bright red gloves and splattered blood, smearing faces.

This night of Art and Music was in conjunction with the London Bridge Festival which has now become a Fringe Festival. Hurrah!

Last night I became

a promoter. I hosted an acoustic night with 4 acts, me being one of them. I will blog about it later as I am just too bushed at the mo’ to write coherently.

Till later, here’s someone some of you might know. Great song, great production……
