Thought

I’d post tonight but am so damn tired. No, more like exhausted. It’s quite amazing how busy I am these days. I’ve mentioned that before, yes, I know, but I am truly quite amazed.

So, an early night tonight. I very well plan to be in bed in 15 minutes.

But first, to plug a gig….

The venue is beneath this building......

Yes, I’m very excited to play tomorrow, 1st October 2009, 8 PM, for “Folk me, Baby” Acoustic Night @ Peter Parkers’ Rock n’ Roll Club, 4 Denmark Street, London WC2H 8LP.

I attended the very first night and it was stupendous. But don’t take my word for it, come check it out and let me sing to you!

Ok, job done! Nite ya’ll………!

So it says

“PowWeb runs UNIX-based operating systems, such as Debian Linux 4.0 on Apache web servers”. Is this Linux then?

A trouncing in progress...!

A trouncing in progress...!

I’ve been pretty busy as usual. With the usual stuff of meetings, practice and something a bit out of the ordinary….. a chess game with giant pieces. 2 meter high pieces of porcelain designed by the Spanish designer Jaime Hayon. The commentator was a chess expert, of course, and it was harrowing having him analyze every move. The game lasted and hour and I….. errr…. conceded! It was part of the London Design Week.

I am playing a gig in The Hague in October. I am excited about that. It’s a charity gig celebrating the Day Of The Elderly. Thank you Susan and Michael:)

My niece Kim gave me kimchi and the Yuna Demo CD! Yay! Thank you!

I made kimchi noodle soup for dinner and it was supa!

Of course you know that I’m a fan of Yuna…….

Ok

, experiment successful! It isn’t the theme that’s the problem, it’s my server. Now how do I go about this……..?!

Sorry

star379k

about this site being a mess. I switched to this theme as the last one wasn’t loading properly. Thus this experiment to to see if indeed the last theme was the “problem”.

So please bear with me while I work on tidying things up. I kinda like this theme…..

Cheers!

Glad

not to be mad. Well, not entirely anyway.

I was just speaking to my flat mate and she said she was going home to Australia. She missed it. 4 years of being here was enough. It did not beckon her to stay. She found herself on her own most of the time. To meet friends here, one had to make plans, to make the last tube home, to arrange days ahead, sometimes weeks. The spontaneity and informality that were commonplace at home, non existent.

I feel the same about going home. After 30 years, this is still not my home. My roots have not taken to this soil.

I’ve posted about this before. I still wonder if it’s just a trick of my mind, or are my emotions true.

I’ll be home for 3 weeks in November. Perhaps I’ll have a better idea then.
