I am posting

tonight as I feel guilty about not posting in a while. There are quite a lot of things happening, good things but I don’t want to jinx it by saying. Lets just say it’s all good and when things are firmed up I will spill the beans:)

Today was a rather leisurely day. Not many people about for some reason. It was an easy day at work and I enjoyed it.

Stereo Decade Sheperds Bush

I went to see “Stereo Decade” play at The Sheperds Bush Empire after work. They were great! A really exciting band. Joe Harvey-Whyte, the guitarist, who’s all of 19 years of age, works with us in the shop on Saturdays. It was good to see him and his band making an impact and going from strength to strength. At this rate, he’ll not long be leaving his Saturday job. Good one Joe, good one guys. Rock on!

Kien Lim

large_3737is the second oldest member of staff here at Wunjo and has been here for nearly two years. His sense of humour is legendary (ask him to tell the joke about the Jamaican in the art gallery) and his rock heritage is equally impressive, with stints playing for Dave Stewart featuring on the CV. Kien now plays the open mic scene as a solo singer songwriter, and also does a bit of freelance photography on the side. He is pictured here with a 1971 Gibson Byrdland which he loves as you can tell by the enthusiasm with which he strums.

Tres busy

is what I am. I’ve a lot on my plate at the moment. I am taking some time out tonight to get to bed early. I intend before 11 PM.

I can’t say much tonight. I’m too tired. Got a headache, body ache and can hardly spell. So I bid you good night:)

The Trip To The Netherlands

has opened my heart.

The hospitality and warmth of Michael and his friends has had a profound effect on me. I didn’t think possible that such caring, such love could be genuine. But genuine and real it was and it has touched my heart very deeply. It has wrenched the door open to my social and emotional anorexia. The sensation is physical. My emotions are raw. I now can feel love.

This evening I feel sad. I miss my new found friends. And I thank them from the bottom of my heart for this life-changing experience.me jump edit2 72px

9:55 AM

in the Hague and I’m getting ready to have Dim-Sum for breakfast. It has been a great couple of days. Walked the Red Light District, played the gig, met some wonderful people, and been fed. I won’t say too much in this post as I’ve to get ready. Just want to acknowledge my gratitude for having this wonderful experience of meeting some great people and experiencing their wonderful hospitality.

A BIG THANKS to Michael for being superb.

Slaterz.
