1. Are you on a windows or linux server? (you’ll want linux… WP works best on that.)
2. Backup your database before you do anything else. Wordpress has “how-to’s” on that.

I think the promoter you spoke with was a nitwit. You should check out Keller Williams (Freeker by the Speaker or Best Feeling) on youtube if you’ve never heard of him. He plays several instruments by himself during shows and fills up pretty big venues…not unlike Andrew Bird, except Bird usually has a few other people on stage. Good luck on future endeavours, I like your stuff thus far.
